Blew’s Klews Interventions, LLC was founded in early 2019 and is currently operated by Dean Lewis, M. Ed. BKI’s goal is to equip all educators and parents with the necessary tools and knowledge that will minimize the achievement gap of any scholar performing one to two grade levels below current grade level expectations.
Initially, Blew’s Klews Interventions sought to fill a gap of providing classroom teachers with customized and targeted intervention lessons that address the common misconceptions that many low leveled learners possess based on classroom data. However, over time, BKI found a path to preparing all educators to intervene with low leveled scholars, bridge socio-emotional gaps, and create connections with parents and community stake holders through authentic professional development opportunities. These opportunities allow campuses and teachers to grow in the areas of content knowledge expertise and best instructional practices, climate and cultural awareness, and increase of community partnerships.
Blew’s Klews Interventions also promotes parent-student advocacy through a plethora of ongoing informational sessions. These sessions foster parent education and inform them of the best ways guardians can partner with public school systems in efforts to get the best results for their children. BKI offers this expertise in addition to modeling how to navigate their children through independent school districts so that students receive the highest quality of education possible! Blew’s Klews Interventions also offers one-on-one parent consultations and ongoing private tutorial services for those looking for a more direct hands on approach in minimizing their child’s academic gaps. The goal of Blew’s Klews Interventions is to revitalize how classroom teachers, educational leaders, parents, community stake holders and students collaborate amongst each other. Our mission is to ensure that all students have an opportunity to have their lives transformed through the access of high quality education delivered by equipped and knowledgeable educators who use best practice approaches.
